Co-Pastor Brenda Hobbs, Co-Pastor

Brenda Hobbs, Co-Pastor of Triumphant Life Christian Church (TLCC), is active in the life and ministry of the church by functioning in a variety of capacities. She has served as Sunday school teacher, choir member, counselor, spiritual mentor, worship leader, and intercessory prayer leader, to mention a few. One of the highlights of her service to God and the community was a program entitled, "Redirection Now!" geared towards girls from ages 12 to 18. Also, during this time, she volunteered her time with the M.O.S.E.S organization (an interdenominational faith-based community group) serving as co-chair of their first annual banquet, conducted conflict resolution workshops, and organized their first annual youth rally. In the Winter of 2010,Co-Pastor Brenda started a youth mentoring and tutoring program geared towards, if necessary, redirecting the life paths of young-adults.

In the spring of 1999, the Lord laid it upon Co-Pastor Brenda's heart to look for additional ways to minister to the community. The result was the birth of the Easter Star Missionary Baptist Church "Food Ministry," where she served as Director.

Co-Pastor Brenda as His unique and effective vessel in organizing and mothering yet another powerful ministry birthed under the direction and guidance of this anointed Woman of God, entitled " The Daughters of Abigail.” Their mission is to walk in forgiveness, intercede (especially for the Women of God), and to tenderly and lovingly care for God’s people. In 2006, Co-Pastor Brenda launched another ministry called the  "Triumphant Life Women's Ministry." TLCC's Women's Ministry objective and goals are to search the WORD of GOD to discover what the Bible prescribes and describes for women in ministry; also to edify, encourage, empower, and exhort women, especially those, who are in leadership positions.

Co-Pastor Brenda is prayerful that soon other ventures will be launched to assist the members in the community to become gainfully employed and trained in new technologies. She is presently seeking funds for various community outreach programs which includes a nutritional program; a family enrichment program; a women’s mentoring program; state of the art computer lab, which would enhance employment skills for the community residents; and a program for emotionally and physically abused women.

Co-Pastor Brenda received her Bachelor degree and graduated with honors, from Marygrove College in May, 2010. She is currently enrolled in the Marriage and Family Therapy Master's program at Liberty University.

Co-Pastor Brenda was licensed on April 24, 2002 and ordained on February 23, 2003 as Co-Pastor at Triumphant Life Christian Church (formerly Eastern Star Missionary Baptist Church), where her husband, Rev. Joseph Hobbs, Th.D., is the Senior Pastor. They were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Danielle Faye Hobbs, born on January 12, 1994.
